cdma2000 Course Description

This advanced course provides a detailed technical overview of the IS-2000 air interface standard. Primary topics include discussions of forward and reverse link enhancements, improvements to power control, MAC, LAC, and Layer 3 signaling and call processing. Emphasis will be the placed on how these enhancements deliver features such as improved link budget, doubling of capacity, improved battery life and most importantly higher data rates. The course will end with a discussion of the evolution of cdma2000 1x-EV-DO and 1xEV-DV. Knowledge of TIA/EIA 95B is a prerequisite.
